Please follow this link for a closer look at what it's like to work at Children's Wisconsin: The Philanthropy Officer is a key member of the front-line fundraising team and will be at the forefront of stewarding and growing key partnerships, as well as identifying new partners in alignment with Children's Wisconsin's organizational goals. Chief responsibilities are: Representing Children's Wisconsin (CW) and helping to carry out the strategic plan of the Foundation by identifying, evaluating, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts of mid-level prospects, defined as individual giving between $5,000 and $100,000. Through a mission-focused, donor-centered, relationship-based approach, the Philanthropy Officer is responsible for building and managing a dynamic portfolio of approximately 125+ mid-level donors and prospective donors, ensuring timely, strategic steps are taken to move the donor through the gift cycle of qualification, cultivation, face-to-face solicitation, gift closure and stewardship. This individual will create and execute personalized donor communications and solicitation strategies to activate their portfolio, with the goal of increasing donor retention, engagement, and upgrading donors to the major gift pipeline. The Philanthropy Officer works closely with fellow gift officers and Foundation staff to identify and engage prospective donors interested in hospital programs and projects with the goal of qualifying, cultivating, and building a robust donor base that will funnel into the Major and Planned Giving pipeline. This individual will partner closely with the stewardship team to coordinate stewardship and communication to these mid-level donors on a regular basis. The Philanthropy Officer will routinely report outreach and engagement activity and consistently meet outlined metrics for the position as a means to best serve the hospital and Foundation's mission and foster a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Three years of successful fundraising experience with demonstrated success in solicitations of $5,000 and above or related experience building strategic relationships that generates revenue Fundraising experience in healthcare arena is strongly preferred. Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with volunteers, staff, donors, prospects and the general public and to represent the hospital to external organizations in a professional manner. Skills and abilities to make new contacts and to develop and nurture support/commitment for the hospital and system from individuals, organizations and businesses. Demonstrated experience in developing fundraising and/or strategic plans and implementing these plans successfully. Ability to maintain complete confidentiality regarding donor and Foundation files.
