Tax Director / Partner - Trust & Estates - HNW

A public accounting firm located in New York City is actively seeking a self-motivated and collaborative professional to join their staff as a Tax Director / Partner. In this role, the Tax Director / Partner will provide support to the firm's Trusts & Estates function. Responsibilities The Tax Director / Partner will: Review tax returns to ensure these are sufficiently complete and accurate before presenting to Partners for theoretical top review Ensure Partners have adequate time to review work prior to due dates Resolve all preparers' open points and your review comments Explain all return diagnostics Identify tax planning opportunities and discuss with Partner Obtain client information Recognize and resolve issues to ensure year-end work is sufficiently complete and accurate to present to Partner for top review Qualifications Undergraduate degree 6+ years of related experience Expertise in HNW Tax, including solid skills in Trusts, Estates and Gift taxes servicing privately held businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as high net worth clients Ability to review complex and detailed client work in preparation of Partner review Excellent communication skills Proven leadership capabilities
