Description Eibach, Inc. is a leading Performance Suspension Manufacturer located in Corona, California. Eibach engineers, tests and manufactures high-performance suspension products including; sport, lowering, motorsport racing springs, sway bars, shocks, coil-overs, and hub-centric wheel spacers for the performance aftermarket as well as private label customers. JOB TITLE: Mechanical Design Engineer BASED: Eibach, Inc. 264 Mariah Circle Corona, CA 92879 JOB STATUS: Full Time and Exempt SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm POSITION REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager (Directly) and COO (Indirectly) JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY: The incumbent will pro-actively work with the engineering staff to prepare electronic drawings and other technical documents within the governing quality assurance program and procedures. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: BS Mechanical Engineering Degree Expert in Mathematical calculations and 10 key usage Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Understanding/Knowledge of basic engineering testing equipment and tools Proficient in Solidworks and broad knowledge of drawing standards and GD&T Previous experience of ISO 9001 a plus Working knowledge of statistical data analysis Automotive mechanical skills and hands-on experience SAE Team participation is highly desirable Machining/fabrication experience is a plus Production Process Improvement, lean culture a plus ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Ability to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment Work as a team & Independent to meet and /or exceed monthly goals Regular attendance per work schedule Lifting product at times up to 50 lbs Works closely and provides support and information as requested from other departments Ability to build both internal and external business customer/vendor relationships Ability to effectively collaborate across multifunctional teams Must be able to maintain a clean work station and assist dept. in cleaning functions Must be able to read designs, interpret work order requirements, and drawings specifications Willingness to receive training Compliance of all shop safety rules and company policies Regular attendance at sales and/or company meetings when requested and involvement and interaction in the meetings Must be willing and able to work Company shows on weekends when asked to do so Keep management informed of all activities, including timely preparation of reports Posses the ability to efficiently manage projects and meet timeline Conduct quality testing to verify products RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: Produce suspension component designs and associated engineering duties Communicate with and produce designs for spec. customers Maintain all engineering, R&D, and Desk Tech files Work with R&D Technicians to collect all data necessary for design Perform ride evaluations of prototype parts to ensure performance and ride comfort Update all engineering files to current standards, (German designs to English format) Coordinate with vendors for prototype components Assist sales team with tech calls and questions as needed Coordinate database (Access file) for designs Coordinate with QA dept. for incoming product from vendors Communicate with Marketing and Sales departments to complete desired product goals Design, Fabricate, Assemble, and Package Marketing Displays Production process improvement and implementation of new tooling and machinery PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Typically sits for extended periods at a desk and in front of a computer. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift (up to 50 lbs.) for short periods of time. Repetitive movements - Data Entry hand movement on keyboard, phone call handling, installation of parts and testing equipment While performing this job, an employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Occasional standing for extended periods of time at shows.
