We are looking for a motivated and relationship-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced environment to join our Supply Partner Team. The Supplier Engagement Representative will be responsible for the interface with suppliers of tactical and fire equipment and services, which Darley distributes to its defense markets. Primary responsibilities include establishing supplier accounts and capturing new business by teaming up with prospective suppliers. The Supplier Engagement Representative will be expected to contact suppliers that are being requested on our government contracts, educate them on Darley, our value proposition, and negotiate favorable terms. This individual will also be expected to screen and onboard new suppliers. This position will work closely with both the TLS Contracts Team and Supply Partner Managers. About W.S. Requirements Responsibilities Make contact with suppliers that are new to our government contracts and educate them on Darley (specifically our contracts, sales capabilities, company history and performance) Increase house award business by negotiating more favorable terms on RFQs Engage new suppliers to learn about their products and dealer management structure with the goal of qualifying partner potential and viability Vet and onboard new suppliers for imminent opportunities Work with Contracts to ensure that we have met all quoting criteria for both new supplier bids and "jump balls" and advise on a pricing strategy Work with Supply Partner Managers to grow house accounts into partner accounts Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a business discipline or equivalent experience Preferred Education and Experience Experience with fire and/or tactical products. Experience with Government contracting. Competencies Influential verbal and written communication. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Highly organized with a focus on execution. Strong negotiation skills. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m in the Itasca office. Travel This position does not require travel.
