CHAMPTOWN - Prep Baseball Tournaments: The Director of Operations will execute and lead all operations at Champtown in Park City, Kansas. This position will be responsible for managing the daily on-site activity schedule, as well as cultivating relationships with rental partners. This individual will lead a team to operate all tournaments hosted at Champtown. This position will hire seasonal and part-time operations staff, sell tournaments and field space to local, regional and national programs, and manage all aspects of the 8-field complex. Prep Baseball Tournaments is a rapidly growing tournament operation with a fast-paced work environment specializing in amateur baseball. Qualified candidates will possess the following attributes: leadership, self-starter, hard working, ability to create professional relationships, experience with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, as well as efficient computer and marketing skills. The individual must have an understanding of the game of baseball & softball, its rules, and the ability to act quickly in high pressure situations. Position Responsibilities: Manage all complex operations and daily scheduling Oversee hiring, training, & scheduling of all quad managers, scouts, interns Manage tournament administration (registrations, payments, day-to-day calendar) and event contracts Coordinate all field and game operations with teams, coaches, and umpires Work directly with umpire assignors, retail vendors, and housing coordinator Build relationships with teams participating in the events Maintain marketing and sponsorship relationships Develop and implement training for new employees Build new relationships with local, regional, and national travel baseball organizations Continued development and vision of new revenue opportunities for current and future events Basic Qualifications: Experience working in baseball or other sports (administration, sport management, coaching, game operations, or other related experience) Live in or open to relocation to the Park City/Wichita area Strong moral character and unquestionable integrity High-level communication, problem-solving, and strong attention to detail A high energy level is essential; a strong, dedicated work ethic Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing organizational needs Self-starter, able to create and maintain connections Proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace applications Excellent attitude and works well in a team setting Leadership qualities with proven experience of effectively managing and leading others Ability to present themselves in a professional manner Successful experience with conflict resolution Bachelor's Degree Prep Baseball Tournaments is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
