Position Summary: Operating as part of the Corporate Engineering team, the Process Engineer will work with a team of Process Engineers supporting each manufacturing site, driving change management and innovation success from beginning to end in the manufacturing process. This role will be responsible for development of manufacturing process improvement strategies and plans through collaboration between Operations, I&D, Marketing and other functional groups. Working with the PMO group, this role will serve as a manufacturing representative in the product development process and ensure minimal potential for manufacturing site losses when introducing process and product changes. The Process Engineer will work with the broader Engineering and Operations teams to optimize existing capabilities, build standard processes and improve processes across all plants as needed. Key Responsibilities: Develop strategies for operational loss reduction and improvement across plants Develop and implement standard processes for Engineering and Operations applicable at all sites Validate new product and process capability working with Marketing, R&D, Operations and Engineering Lead plants in support of new product launches Develop innovative solutions to support new products, processes and capabilities Assume subject matter expert status for manufacturing processes (washing, drying, filling, etc.) to support all manufacturing sites Develop line balancing / line design maps to ensure optimized production Partner with Project Engineers to develop capex project specifications and equipment selection based on performed cost analysis and ROI assumptions Lead capex projects at the plant level Working with Project Engineers, validate new equipment performance and delivery of expectations Work with Project Engineers to standardize equipment and process Work with Operations to optimize equipment capability and performance Work with Quality and Operations teams to develop greater product consistency and quality Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Technical area Proficiency in Gmail, Google Sheets, Docs, Slides or equivalent Experience in food manufacturing 2+ years of experience in this role or similar Experience working with CAD drawings Experience with Project Management tools and techniques Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
