*Immediate Hire* As a Registered Nurse (RN) Onsite Assessor (OA) for AssuriCare, we are a branch of WellCove with CHCS, you will be responsible for scheduling and completing Long Term Care Insurance eligibility assessments. These are non-medical, observational assessments that require you to document Claimant demographics, physician information, obtain a current medication and diagnosis list, and document the Claimant's functional and cognitive levels of independence. The assessment involves administering a cognitive screening (MMSE or SPMSQ) and documentation of the Claimant's ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks. The assessment is expected to take 90 minutes (about 1 and a half hours). Rate is $95 per assessment Most assessment locations are within 30 miles Round Trip This is a 1099 contract position to earn supplemental income (PRN/As Needed) You must be a RN (registered nurse) You must have a current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable vehicle and/or public transportation You must have or be willing to obtain a professional liability insurance policy You must have your own computer or tablet and internet access You will coordinate scheduling with the Claimant or their point of contact You will need to confirm the appointment 24 hours prior You will complete cognitive and functional assessments within the Claimant's home and/or facility You will need to submit the completed Assessment documentation within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment. You will need to remain available for clarifications - AssuriCare's Clinical Review team will reach out with any questions within 2 business days of submission. (An assessment Is not considered complete until any/all clarifications are answered) You will NOT release any determinations and will refer the Client/Contact to their Long-Term Care Insurance company for any questions. **Please complete our online application: --> Skills: - The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy and be able to utilize a computer/tablet. - Proficient with Microsoft office applications (Adobe Acrobat). - Have strong interpersonal skills with a desire to help seniors and their families. Requirements: - Current unencumbered RN licensure in state of practice. - Must have or be willing to obtain a professional liability insurance policy. - Must have a current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable vehicle and/or public transportation. - Minimum of 2 years of home health experience, or nursing in an equivalent area of practice serving geriatric clients. - Must have your own computer/tablet and internet access. Our Network Specialist will reach out to setup an interview. COVID 19 - Assessments are performed in the Claimant's home or facility setting. Assessor's are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing, if asked. Claimant/Family or Facility for each assessment may have additional COVID-19 requirements
