Schedule: Full-time, 30-hours per week Tuesday through Thursday 8 AM - 5 PM Provides excellent patient care and medical services as related to venous insufficiency under the supervision of a physician. Duties and Responsibilities: Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests; identify abnormal results and bring these to the attention of the attending physician Works closely with Nursing, Surgical and Vascular Lab Staff Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans under the direction of the attending physician. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Formulates a multimodality treatment strategy for the patients' venous insufficiency under the direction of the attending physician. Assists in medical procedures as requested by the attending physician Educates patients on treatment options, recommendations of the attending physician and assists patient in scheduling treatments Participates in telephone communication with patients as needed Creates a letter of medical necessity when required by patient insurance company Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Be involved with all continuity of care initiatives, including one month, six month and then annual follow ups Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records; complete all work within established time requirements Train new clinical staff as needed Work together with the team members at the center(s) to reach center goals Assist in community events CVR sponsors as needed Attend periodic team meetings Process medical instruments and medical waste per CVR standards Adhere to all infection control, universal precautions and safety policies Utilize appropriate customer service skills during interactions with patients, physicians visitors, staff, and other personnel Other duties as assigned by management, or clinical director Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Must be licensed Nurse Practitioner Minimum of 2 years of previous NP experience required Must be able to travel to CVR Charlotte office (Also known as Carolina Vein Specialists); as needed - coverage in Gastonia office Qualifications: Excellent clinical skills Excellent communication skills Professional Must have a strong work ethic Excellent customer service as demonstrated by being sensitive to patients' needs and feelings Dedicated to follow-through and maximizing patient results Organized and detail-oriented Flexibility and adaptability as it relates to schedules, responsibilities and priorities The ability to interact with, support, and influence positively the behavior and activities of patients, physicians and staff/co- workers The ability to work independently and as a cooperative member of a team Prior MedSpa, Dermatology, Cosmetic or Plastic Surgery experience a plus
