TRAFFIC CONTROL FOREMAN DUTIES Must have a valid driver's license, and must also have a substantial history in traffic control, TX Dot, flagging, reading plans, etc. Trade Supervision - Supervise and lead trade-specific work crews on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols. Provide guidance, instruction, and direction to trade workers to facilitate efficient and accurate workmanship. Work Planning and Execution - Plan and organize daily work activities for trade crews, including task assignments, material requirements, and equipment usage. Execute trade-specific tasks according to project schedules and production goals, maintaining productivity and quality standards. Quality Assurance - Ensure trade activities meet project plans, specifications, and standards. Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the work day to identify and address any deficiencies promptly. Safety Compliance - Enforce safety regulations and procedures specific to trade operations to maintain a safe work environment as set forth by the company and client. Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocol. Equipment Operation and Maintenance - Operate trade-specific equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer and company guidelines and best practices. Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on equipment to ensure functionality and prevent downtime. Material Management - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of trade-specific materials and supplies to the construction site. Manage inventory levels and storage of materials, minimizing waste, loss, and materials sitting for an extended period of time. Communication with Project Team - Communicate effectively with Trade Superintendents, Project Superintendents, and Project Engineers regarding work progress, issues and resource needs within your specific trade. Provide regular updates on trade-specific activities and coordinate closely with the project team to ensure smooth workflow and coordination of activities. Problem Solving and Decision Making - Identify and resolve trade-specific issues and challenges that arise during the construction process, making informed decisions to keep work on track and within budget. Collaborate with project teams to find solutions to trade-related obstacles and restraints. Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work completed, materials used, man hours used and that all time and material are charged to correct project numbers and item codes.
