(Terms and conditions apply) Reports to: Local Director Primary Function: The Project Manager is responsible for the technical management and project leadership to initiate, implement, and direct the successful completion of projects involving hazardous building materials and industrial hygiene assessments. Selected candidate will possess a strong technical background to provide expert advice on a variety of projects in the education, construction, and industrial sectors. The project manager will foster healthy client relationships, generate proposals, manage budgets, and complete tasks to service both our clients and teammates. Our ideal candidate will leverage proactive problem-solving, excellent time management, and strong multi-tasking abilities to drive successful projects. Primary Responsibilities: Manages and provides project leadership for a diverse portfolio of environmental projects including, but not limited to, hazardous building materials, mold and moisture evaluations, industrial hygiene services, and assessment of indoor environmental quality. Prepares project proposals; develops budgets and cost estimates: delivers proper scoping of services, evaluates revenue goals; oversees project billing and collections, evaluates equipment; and ensures project profitability. Plans, develops and delivers information to clients regarding various phases of projects. Prepares written reports documenting survey findings, summarizing scientific data, and providing recommendations to the clients. Performs daily functions of the projects by coaching and mentoring project staff on quality data generation, managing staff availability and workload, and reviewing data reporting for accuracy and quality. Additional field responsibilities may include performing on-site surveys, inspections, assessments, remediation abatement oversight and monitoring, and auditing of safety procedures and applicable regulations associated with industrial hygiene and environmental projects. Participates in QA/QC audits Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health and Safety, or Business Administration is preferred. A combination of verifiable education and experience can also substitute for a bachelor's degree. Minimum 5 years of strong technical and industry knowledge. Must have experience successfully managing small to mid-scale projects in our service line areas. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience in managing projects and a team of individuals. Background or knowledge in operating in a service or construction industry is a plus Must have experience successfully managing projects in industrial hygiene or construction service industry. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with clients and team. Flexibility in work schedule and willingness to travel to different locations, as projects and training may require. Ability to sit, stand, walk, push pull, drag, grab objects, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Must pass an annual medical exam and respirator fit test. Must pass a background check with a clean record sufficient to meet Department of Education and Department of Justice requirements (LiveScan). Abilities: Effective communication skills and flexibility in work schedule and willingness to travel to different project and training locations. Ability to use and learn new computer programs, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Ability to self-direct workload and manage time to meet deadlines Ability to manage team effectively. ADA Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, push pull, drag, grab objects, and lift up to 50lbs. Ability to hear and have verbal conversations, climb a ladder and stairs, crawl through small spaces. Work locations will include both inside and outside areas during the entire year and will be exposed to high heat levels.
