Package Engineer

3D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks) Excellent fluency in 2D technical drawing review, tolerance stack-up analysis and decision-making Adept in generating 3D CAD drawings (SolidWorks preferred) for part / product design including renderings and animations. Technical knowledge in the areas of plastics injection molding, tool / mold design, and troubleshooting. Well versed in packaging processes & materials (such as plastics, metals, glass) used in the cosmetics packaging industry Strong analytical, statistical and communication skills Technical mastery of fundamental engineering principles Develop new to the world designs in Package delivery systems. Provide engineering direction for form, fit and function for all primary components Evaluate and approve engineering drawings for primary component tooling Lead FMEA sessions involving multiple groups to insure safety , robustness, and efficacy of system performance. Create Engineering Profiles for costing specification and preliminary costed bills of materials Assist our manufacturing locations and our suppliers in the fabrication and assembly of new and existing delivery systems. Consult with Design, Package Development, suppliers, and outside services as required to expedite the development process. Participate in implementation of new systems and processes as required to improve, enhance and advance the basic mission of the Technical Packaging Group. Actively participate in Department's innovation process and generate innovative concepts
