Description This position is responsible for the following job functions at West Deptford Supervise /direct material handler activities to maximize warehousing efficiency and ensure timely raw material receipts, shipments to customers and outside contract warehouse locations for packaged goods. Ensure department's adherence to Quality System programs (ISO, for instance). Ensure the usage of barcode readers and accurate transaction. Interact with Planning and Manufacturing to ensure storage room availability for long lead time items (imports). Ensure that production units have always raw materials available. Supervise the physical shipment and receiving activities ensuring proper labeling, handling and storage to maintain product integrity and quality. Coordinate on site carrier activities to ensure safe and effective physical loading and unloading of Coim finished goods and raw materials. Ensure timely receipt of raw materials into inventory control system. (Navision) Ensure received materials are sampled as required, providing receipt documentation to QC lab. Coordinate the physical receipt of materials from production units and shipment of materials to final location. Stage production units with materials needed for near term production following FIFO guidelines. Direct / supervise the storage and organization of materials in Coim managed warehouses to ensure materials are stored in a safe and efficient manner so as not to compromise product quality. Ensure sales order instructions for customer sensitive issues and special requests are properly followed. Ensure that good housekeeping and safety standards are followed and maintained. Investigate safety incidents as required. Coordinate / supervise the proper storage and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in concert with the EHS manager. Monitor and track all truck traffic into and out of facility maintaining status and records of all trucks on site ensuring demurrage and storage charges are minimized. Monitors, tracks and ensures adequate supply of all "non-inventory" goods and supplies. Investigates and conducts corrective actions for customer complaints as needed. Maintain records of employees' attendance and hours worked for payroll reporting. Conduct annual performance reviews of direct reports. Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for area of responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements 5 years minimum warehouse supervisory experience, preferably in a chemical and/or manufacturing setting Position requires a HS diploma or GED & basic PC skills; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Good working knowledge of Microsoft systems, Outlook, Excel; Navision experience a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal skills. Must acquire and maintain forklift operator Certification. Must acquire and maintain DOT/IATA/IMO/IMDG certifications.
