Security Benefit is searching for an experienced Senior Scrum Master with proven experience to join our team. The ideal candidate may work remotely but will be required to travel to our home office in Topeka, Kansas or our New York office periodically. What Does the Job Look Like? Security Benefit is looking for a Senior Scrum Master to steer multiple Scrum teams towards their objectives and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This involves drawing on deep expertise in Scrum principles, practices, and methodologies. This role will lead by example and facilitate the adoption and ongoing improvement of Agile practices throughout the organization. The primary focus will be on coaching teams, mentoring other Scrum Master's, Product Managers, and stakeholders to optimize their processes, foster collaboration, and drive outcomes aligned with business objectives. As a Senior Scrum Master, you'll be responsible for: Overseeing the performance, development, and career progression of lower-level Scrum Masters. Conducting regular performance reviews and providing actionable feedback to Scrum Masters to foster continuous improvement. Leading and facilitating a community of practice for Scrum Masters to share best practices and support professional growth. Lead change management efforts to support the transition to Agile methodologies, including communication and training plans for all associates and management. Responsible for developing and facilitating quarterly program increment planning to ensure strategic alignment and coordinated delivery across multiple Agile teams, including pre- and post- planning activities. Fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team. Providing leadership and mentorship to Scrum Master's and development teams, ensuring alignment with Agile principles and best practices. Facilitating coordination and communication between multiple Scrum teams, Product Managers, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives Identifying and addressing systemic issues that impact the effectiveness of Agile processes across a program. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team and program productivity, velocity, and quality. Serving as a subject matter expert on Agile frameworks and contributing to the development of organizational Agile frameworks. Engaging with stakeholders at various levels to ensure alignment of goals, expectations, and priorities. Developing and delivering training sessions, workshops, and educational materials to build Agile capabilities across the organization. Keeping on top of industry trends and best practices in Agile methodologies. Defining relevant metrics to track the progress of Agile initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of Scrum teams. Providing accurate and timely information to leadership on the progression of Agile maturity throughout the organization. Designing tooling standards and mentoring organizational adoption enabling operational excellence. Functioning as a champion for the Agile community within the organization. Facilitating knowledge sharing, communities of practice, and cross-team collaboration. Who Are You? If you are passionate about Agile practices, possess strong leadership skills, and are an effective mentor: 7+ years as a Scrum or Agile Coach in a leadership role, with demonstrated experience working at the strategic level. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) certification, preferred. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field (or equivalent years of experience). Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a leadership capacity, overseeing multiple teams. Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. Strong leadership, mentoring, facilitation, and coaching skills. Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Proven experience with organizational adoption of Agile work management solutions. What Can Security Benefit Offer You?
