We are currently seeking an Interim Controller to join a multi-location dentistry group to provide immediate oversight of our financial processes, with a heavy focus on accounts receivable (AR) and streamlining financial operations. Position Summary: The Interim Controller will play a critical role in assessing and improving financial processes, with a specific focus on AR management. This role requires a hands-on leader who can quickly evaluate and address any operational inefficiencies, ensuring the team is well-supported and that processes are optimized for timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in healthcare or multi-location service environments and will be able to swiftly implement corrective measures to improve cash flow and financial stability. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate existing financial processes across all locations and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with office managers and staff to ensure that financial practices align with business needs and compliance standards. Deliver timely financial reporting and analysis to leadership, offering insights and recommendations for process improvements. Train and mentor the accounting team to maintain accurate and timely financial records. Monitor compliance with dental insurance billing practices and identify areas for improvement. Assist with month-end close, financial audits, and any other financial duties as required. Act as a liaison between the finance team and executive leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment on financial goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with significant experience in AR management. Experience in healthcare or dental industry strongly preferred. Proven track record of assessing and improving financial processes in multi-location businesses. Strong understanding of dental billing, insurance claims, and collections processes. Hands-on, solution-oriented approach with the ability to lead and implement changes swiftly. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
