We are currently seeking a seasoned Mechanic to join our Equipment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. As a key member of our Equipment division, the Mechanic will collaborate closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources. Your Role: Ensuring Equipment Reliability As an Experienced Field Mechanic at Emery Sapp & Sons, your role is essential in maintaining the reliability and functionality of our equipment fleet. From diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues to implementing preventative maintenance strategies, your technical expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our construction projects. Your ability to manage vendor relationships and drive process improvements will be critical to our ongoing success. Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair work on company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, developing effective solutions to resolve them promptly. Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime. Ensure all equipment-related activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiating contracts and resolving issues promptly. Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, communicating relevant information to stakeholders. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment maintenance and repair. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic construction environment. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction setting. Strong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues effectively. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
