Responsible for resolving issues to ensure that client billings are accurate and sent out timely. Critical function related to billing of Revenue. What will you be doing as a Billing Specialist This role will require working in the Albuquerque office for several weeks in Dec. 2024 for system conversion. Prepare customer billings and ensure accurate and timely delivery to the appropriate party Create E-Rate, AIA, Managed/Professional Service, Multi-Year Subscription, and Specialty billing Review invoices to identify errors prior to delivery Process and monitor returns and subsequent credit memos Identify recurring issues that result in incorrect billings Ensure customer files are set up accurately Establish relationships with customers as needed to ensure all requirements have been met Communicate with other organizational departments to resolve all discrepancies prior to initiating contact with the customer Required education, technical skills, and/or experience: 2+ years of Billing Experience including but not limited to Multi-Year Subscription, contract billing, E-Rate, Managed/Professional Service, preferred NetSuite billing experience preferred Understanding of taxation across multiple states is preferred High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred Must be well organized and a self-starter Must be able to follow standard filing procedures Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch Possess strong organizational and time management skills Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts receivable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to interact with employees and customers in a professional manner Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately.
