Manufacturing Engineer Our client is a locally owned and operated electronics manufacturer. Summary The Manufacturing Engineer provides equipment, resources, and training required to implement changes and adjustments effectively to ensure efficiency and outstanding quality. This position collaborates with team members to ensure a proactive approach to root cause analysis, problem solving, technologies, and processes that constantly meet evolving customer requirements with the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Ensure processes and equipment procedures are updated, developed, and documented appropriately. Collaborate with program management as the initial interface for current and prospective customers. Actively support program management through quoting, including the use of DFM guidelines that will ensure an effective and cost-efficient process. Analyze documented risks associated with processes and product. Actively monitor risks including PFMEA and preventive actions. Assist process engineering to evaluate capital equipment required to support product-specific requirements. Manage process creation/evaluation to assure understanding and compliance with specifications. Investigate, problem solve to root cause and resolve quality issues on production, supplier and customer-related issues using company processes. Review Corrective Action Effectiveness. Support production with tooling and fixtures to meet production time standards using Lean Concepts. Provide technical training to production personnel. Coordinate and maintain assembly instruction creation, control and maintenance processes. Requirements Strong affinity for mechanical technology and ability to initiate process improvements High-level critical thinking, analysis, and troubleshooting techniques Ability to document and summarize data on a control chart and graph results Ability to use metric and standard measuring systems and able to understand X-Y-Z coordinates. Demonstrated highly motivated strong leadership and team-building skills with self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a "hands on" mentality Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Experience ISO Certified, Quality controlled organization Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 5+ years' experience in the electronic manufacturing industry. Experience in Medical Device and/or Aerospace and defense industries. Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and/or AS9100. Working knowledge of IPC-610, J-STD, IPC 7711/7721, IPC-A-600, ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards. Experience with NPI processes in electronics manufacturing services environment. Electromechanical skills. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations Component ID training or IPC or equivalent training/certification highly encouraged. Salary: Compensation is market appropriate based on skills and experience.
