About Us: Quandel Construction Group is currently looking for an Estimator to join our team! This role will work with our Pre-construction/Estimating department. What You Will Do: Our Estimators are responsible for reviewing drawings to understand project scope, performing accurate quantity and cost estimating based upon the design stage. They provide detailed scoping through study of drawings and specifications, while working with the Chief Estimator to develop pricing. In this role you will communicate and work directly with subcontractors, seek out bid solicitations, and perform post-bid follow-up in a disciplined effort to achieve long term price advantage in the marketplace. You will also be responsible for performing evaluations on documents to determine constructability issues and value engineering opportunities. What You Bring: Certificate, Associates or BS in Construction Management or equivalent construction related experience. Around 3 years of estimating experience with exposure to construction management practices is preferred. General knowledge of construction costs and principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Solid computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office software (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of estimating software preferred, but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Why Quandel?
