Job Description: Our amazing client is looking for a Systems Analyst (Fiserv DNA) to join a great team on a long-term contract assignment. This role will be based here in the Greater Detroit area and team does meet in the office at least once a week. Prior experience with Fiserv's DNA Core Banking platform is required for a candidate's success in this role. Ensure application configuration integrates with new processes and system interface designs that are part of enterprise initiatives. The ability to execute SQL and perform data analysis is key to candidate success. This position will include after hours or weekend support of deployments. Provide operational expertise on process re-engineering initiatives and projects with third party vendors. Work with various internal business partners to understand and design system solutions. Candidates will also provide 2nd tier support role for helpdesk tickets/escalations as well as support system administration and monitoring. 50% Project Delivery and System Analysis Provide operational expertise on process re-engineering initiatives and projects with third party vendors. Partner with various affiliates to understand, document, and design system solutions that provide straight through processing. Ensure application configuration integrates with new processes and system interface designs that are part of enterprise initiatives. Participate as a system SME in project related meetings. 30% System Administration and Monitoring Provides software support through upgrading, patching, trouble shooting, and installation. Maintain a working knowledge of all systems utilized by team. Perform testing and monitor for quality assurance. Coordinates product installations with an implementation schedule. Provides technical and product support to product owners and bank personnel. Responsible for documenting, tracking and reporting on all outstanding vendor issues Identify trends and patterns of outstanding issues, reporting to the vendor and/or various teams as necessary. 20% Handles Escalated Helpdesk Support Issues Responsible for analyzing non-routine problem solving inquiries that are highly technical in nature. Troubleshoot and resolve software and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration. Provides solutions for escalated software related issues. Escalates incidents in a timely manner and involves appropriate personnel as required. Independently diagnose and resolve complex problems or requests. Accurately assesses the reported situation and provides detailed statistics in a timely manner. Education and experience Bachelor's degree in a computer science, business or finance related field and five years or more experience in system analysis and testing Knowledge, skills, and abilities Strong knowledge of system development life cycle concepts, practices, and procedures. Strong knowledge of business and system workflow documentation methods. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, good negotiation skills. Strong team player. Detail oriented. Exercises sound judgment. Ability to work well with others, as well as independently. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines. Ability to lead system designs, development projects or problem-solving efforts. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding customer information and employee records.
