Job Requisition ID: R Job Category: Allied Health Organization: SOM-Peds-Child Development Clinic Location/s: HIGHLAND BLUFF SOUTH Job Title: Certified Behavior Analyst - SOM Pediatrics Job Summary: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide assessment, treatment development (i.e., program development), monitor progress and provide supervision of clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols all based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in clinic, the home, and community settings. Education & Experience Master's Degree in Human Services or related field and one year of related experience. Must have a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. Certifications, Licenses or Registration required : Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of behavioral issues. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Conduct appropriate assessments to develop treatment plans for skill development and behavior reduction protocols Analyze available data to help determine function of problem behaviors. Define all target behaviors in objective and measurable terms and design an appropriate data collection system to measure the target behaviors. Integrate appropriate setting event, antecedent, teaching, and consequences strategies to reduce problem behavior and increase alternative replacement behaviors. Ensure the behavior support plan addresses the function of the problem behavior. Train and supervise staff (i.e., RBT) and/or family members directly (i.e., in person, with opportunities for questions, discussion, etc.) on the implementation of the behavior support plan. Supervision of RBTs per guidelines outlined by BACB. Review of behavior data and progress notes. Signing of RBT progress notes. Monitor the individual's behavior data and provide descriptive progress notes. Conduct treatment fidelity assessments to ensure proper implementation of the behavior support plan. Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress. Utilize safe & appropriate handing procedures when working with clients. Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, and co-workers.
