Job Type Full-time Description Job Title Information Systems Manager Department Information Systems The Information Systems Manager oversees the data processing function of the Credit Union to assure development and delivery of quality information processing services for Credit Union internal users and members. Classification: Exempt Key Responsibilities Ensures integrity of information systems through security by managing ongoing system penetration monitoring and testing. Prepares and maintains technical specifications and related documentation to secured procedures and prevent system failure. Ensures hardware and software is maintained and data is secured through proper back-ups, updates, and staff training. Develop and implement information security and disaster recovery programs within the credit union. Designs, develops, implements and directs the administration of the Information Systems Department, including budgeting, performance monitoring, reporting, planning, priority setting, and staff management. Ensures information systems meet the needs of internal and external members. Participates in the development, implementation and achievement of strategic plans to support the organizational direction of the credit union. Develops and implements long-range strategic plans to address the evolving information processing needs of the Credit Union and its members. Implement action plans to position the Credit Union for the future. Directs and monitors all hardware and software conversion, development, and enhancement projects. Negotiates with vendors on behalf of the credit union to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. Prepare a Department budget that is well documented and consistent with the strategic plan of the Credit Union. Provide training, development, support and leadership for all direct reports; establish and achieve management development objectives for individual managers. Develops and maintains effective and productive working relationships with user departments, senior managers, and vendors. Promotes respect and harmonious relations among IS staff and with departments throughout the organization. Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures. Stays knowledgeable of and complies with applicable laws and regulations, including BSA/AML and OFAC. Stay informed of current trends affecting the financial services industry. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Requirements Experience Five years to eight years of similar or related experience. Experience in Windows Operating System administration An understanding of information security and business continuity is required. A working knowledge of hardware and of software is required. Experience managing a technical business unit Education & License/Certifications A Bachelors college degree or commensurate experience in information technology or related field CISSP certification preferred or other recognized certifications (CISA, CISM) Interpersonal Skills The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job. Other Skills Thorough knowledge of hardware systems, system software, networks, and application software development. Previous financial institution experience preferred Must have excellent resource management, project planning, and communication skills. Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
