Company Description Xtalic Corporation, a dynamic, growing Boston-area technology company, develops and commercializes electroplating processes for new and novel nanostructured metal alloys based on Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)-developed technology. Job Description This is a hands-on product/application development position and job responsibilities for the position will include: Define and optimize process flow for specific plating applications Generate test data sets with statistically relevant quantification Develop methods for product plating in-house for adaptation at customer sites Generate test parts for customers in both lab scale and production settings Key member for customer implementation, scale-up and development Assess and remediate failures in plated parts and associated processing steps Documentation of processes Transfer of process knowledge to internal and external customers Qualifications The successful candidate will have a combination of the following skills and experience: BS in Engineering or Science 1-year laboratory experience (previous employment or co-op), 3+ yrs preferred Knowledge of inorganic chemistry and elemental analysis (SEM/EDS/XRF) Wet chemistry handling and safe working practices Good oral presentation skills Strong communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal. Fluent in Microsoft Office software Successfully navigate project objectives while attending to detail Ability to translate tangible concepts into streamlined process flow Capable of multi-tasking while working in teams or as an individual contributor Test method development a plus Magnetic materials characterization a plus Customer facing experience in a technical role a plus Electroplating experience a plus Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
