This Hybrid job opportunity is to support the Department of Justice in Washington DC! Current in office requirement of one week per month on-site. The Financial Analyst analyzes past and present financial data of organization and estimates future revenues and expenditures, applying principles of finance. Provides financial and disbursement issue research support for end users and Debt Collection Management personnel. Attends and/or facilitates meetings and working groups with stakeholders to support review and reconciliation of financial and disbursement related issues. Creating, organizing, and managing financial and disbursement documentation for reference and tracking. In coordination with Tier 1 support and management, tracks and addresses production issues relating to financial and disbursement processing related functions within client system. Provides functional validation and regression testing for all financial processing related issues raised on an ad hoc basis, PROD Support, meetings and/or working groups. Run and document financial analysis projects. Aid organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control. Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc. Assists program teams with financial reporting requirements to corporate. Reviews program-related AP/AR invoices for accuracy. Prepares presentation slide decks for program financial performance reporting. Completes various special projects as assigned by finance leadership. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related field required Must be able to obtain a public trust for the position-Candidates must be US citizens and will be required to undergo a federal background investigation in order to gain access to sensitive information. Other Job Specific Skills Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think on one's feet. Understanding of financial planning and strategy. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment. Must be able to effectively communicate and articulate to both technical and non-technical audiences. Intermediate Proficiency Level in Structured Query Language (SQL), Data Quality Tools & Methods, and Critical Thinking. Compensation Range dependent on expereince : $63,500 - $85,000
