Location: ON-SITE (NOT REMOTE) RMF Engineering is an innovative, top-ranked, national engineering firm that specializes in providing design and engineering services for all aspects of building and utility infrastructure construction. RMF Engineering, Inc has an immediate need for a Civil Design Engineer to join the Raleigh, NC office to work with a multi-discipline team on-site utility systems and projects. The Civil/Structural Division provides engineering services for district energy utility distribution systems for University, Healthcare, and Government clients. Designs include site development, thermal and power utilities, and complex phasing plans for projects that support campus expansions and sustainability projects. Responsibilities: Design construction document drawing sets for civil infrastructure projects (including site plans, profiles, details, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, phasing plans, and traffic and pedestrian control). Design and layout underground utilities including chilled water, hot water, steam, medium voltage power systems, domestic water, and sanitary sewer. Create site layouts for large mechanical and electrical infrastructure systems, including grading and stormwater management. Coordinate with other in-house civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform site visits to verify existing conditions and inspect construction progress. New hires will work directly with experienced PE's and designers, and receive dedicated software, engineering, and design training. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 5 years' experience, EIT required, PE preferred. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Understanding of basic civil engineering concepts with interest in mechanical and/or electrical infrastructure. Working knowledge of AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred, but not required).
