Japanese automotive engineering company in Novi, Michigan office seeks a Japanese Bilingual Project Manager to lead engineering projects.Exempt position9-5, M-F, some Domestic Business Travels$ 90K -105K plus bonus and full health benefits packageMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBAs the Project Manager in the engineering projects, the candidate will thrive to:Proactively manage and lead the successful commercial and technical activities to make an engineering project successful, ensuring adherence to budget, timing, and quality.Lead and perform the delivery of several tasks during the execution of the customer projects.Learn new engineering concepts, equipment, software tools for successful delivery.Create written reports (MS WordPowerpoint) for the project status and new municate with customers, with support from the supervisor and team.Propose proactively in engineering projects towards expansion of the business.POSITION IN ORGANIZATIONMain place of work: Novi, MI (main office); This is an in-office roleOccasional business travels expected in the US (Primarily local day-trips, Overnight trips: 1-4 days per trip 0-1 trips per month)At external project sites in the US, during project period Customer sites in MI (driving distance from the main office)Working conditions: Approximately 40 hours per weekQUALIFICATIONSSKILLS8+ years of professional engineering experience. Very strong foundational engineering skills.Must Have:Embedded Software Experience - ability to understand and lead the development of automotive softwareProven successful technical leadership as a scrum master or agile development team memberData Analytics experience to generate insights from data, with at least an intermediate understanding of AIMachine Learning.The ability to think strategically and create proposalssolutions to address customer pain points.Bi-Lingual in English and Japanese (Native or Fluent (N1)Professional Certifications: PMP desired, but not required upon entry. Agile Scrum Master or SAFe certification desired. EDUCATIONBachelor degree in Engineering.
