About the Role Workday is looking for a dynamic Principal Procurement Technology Manager to join our Procurement Systems team within the Center of Excellence. Reporting to the Director of Procurement Systems, you'll play a pivotal role in defining the future of our global operations. You'll build a future-focused outlook to ensure operational excellence. Partnering with functional teams, you will develop detailed business requirements and build scalable, efficient processes using Workday's best-in-class suite of Spend Management products. This high-impact, high-visibility role will engage with all levels of the organization, where you'll make effective decisions, build consensus, and drive global change. Your technical expertise in procurement technology, automation, and process design will guide project teams in solving sophisticated business challenges with outstanding solutions. You will identify automation opportunities, craft innovative solutions, and ensure seamless system integration with existing processes. Responsibilities Map procurement data and system landscapes finding opportunities for automation Develop strategies, future states, and build cases for procurement automation Lead and drive inclusive multi-functional programs aimed at achieving strategic goals, being responsible for all aspects of program management, including organizing program elements and activities, establishing clear objectives, defining goals, hitting timelines, and ensuring effective collaboration across diverse teams and Workmates Collaborate with Workmates across the organization to define user requirements, and translate these requirements into comprehensive solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, industry standard processes, and regulatory requirements Demonstrate Workday Spend Management system expertise identifying process or configuration improvement opportunities and offer creative solutions to drive continuous improvement Procurement system administration, configuration and maintenance Data and system migrations Maintain a close relationship with Product; understand roadmap, provide feedback on functionality, support the uptake of new release features within GPO Build strong and productive working relationships with Workmates and business partners About You Basic Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in Procurement Systems Management, Source to Pay Process Design, and system implementation. Workday Spend Management experience is strongly preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field Other Qualifications: Proven expertise in the software implementation lifecycle, with the ability to lead or advise, formulate project plans, and partner with stakeholders to drive projects to closure. Extensive knowledge of the competitive landscape and industry best practices in procurement 5+ years of experience leading the entire lifecycle of automation projects as a project/program lead Experience being a great partner with internal technology teams, collaborators, and external software suppliers. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build consensus among diverse teams. Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to the industry, with the ability to assess their potential impact on business operations Proven experience in developing and leading technology roadmaps, including defining critical initiatives, setting timelines, and aligning with organizational goals Effective communication and social skills Strong critical thinking and business curiosity, including sophisticated analytical and problem solving skills, proven ability to work with data to drive insights and decisions Proactive, result oriented, with a can-do attitude in meeting critical timelines Workday Certification in Procurement desirable but not essential (or any other modules) Proactive, result oriented, with a can-do attitude in meeting critical deliverables Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing team members Passion for automating processes to enhance efficiency, with strong familiarity with automation technologies available in the Workday ecosystem, as well as other tools such as RPA and no-code/low-code platforms Quick learner with a passion for continuously acquiring new knowledge and skills Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
