Position Type: DISTRICT LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISOR Date Posted: 10/2/2024 Location: Operations: Facilities POSITION SUMMARY The Logistic Service Supervisor will assist in the daily operation of the Logistics Services and Warehouse Operations department to include the use of technology systems, protocols associated with the delivery of interoffice mail, instructional materials, furniture and equipment, and test materials, utilizing the operation of commercial trucks, to meet the needs of schools and staff. The incumbent is responsible for inspecting warehouse buildings, equipment, fleet vehicles, and the receipt and removal of district furniture and equipment. The supervisor coordinates the Surplus Inventory Program related to the reuse and auction/sale of district obsolete and damaged inventory. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Supervises and assists in the training of warehouse operation and staff Responsible for the Surplus Inventory Program, including coordination of deliveries, identification of furniture and equipment items as surplus usage, auction, sale, or disposal in adherence to the district accountability process Schedules and supervises the operation of daily routes of deliveries and pickups within and outside the district Processes school and department orders for district users Prepares route schedules, loads, and drives commercial cargo trucks to deliver goods to and from designations Receives and verifies the receipt of district centralized shipments for distribution to schools and departments Oversees fleet vehicles and warehouse equipment for usage, safety, and district compliance for regulartory reporting Operates technology devices to coordinate and monitor warehouse inventory control for storage capacity Operates warehouse equipment to expedite materials and equipment in and out of the warehouse Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours, and as needed Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong written and verbal communication skills Active listening skills Supervisory, organizational, and leadership skills Decision making Math aptitude Problem-solving skills Data entry and technology skills Analytical skills Ability to pay attention to detail, be flexible and reliable MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Valid driver's license Forklift license OSHA Certification required: WORK EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience working in a warehouse 2 years supervisory experience in warehouse 0peration 5 years driving large trucks and forklifts COMPENSATION Salary Grade: 126 Salary Range: FY'24-25 APS Salary Schedule (All Positions) Work Year: Annual PHYSICAL ABILITIES AND WORKING CONDITIONS The physical abilities, working conditions and other conditions of employment listed in this document are representative of, but are not intended to provide an exhaustive list of the requirements for positions in this classification. Must exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally, over 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or over 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Understand how to manage stress Additional Work Conditions & Physical Abilities: Will require travel to multiple sites. Extended hours may be required depending on each situation. Must understand and have full knowledge of the occupational hazards in using power tools and equipment and of necessary safety precautions. Requires extensive safety training and/or protective devices.
