Electrical Controls Engineer Key Responsibilities Responsible for creating technical and commercial proposals for Low and Medium/ High voltage power equipment (Switchgear/MCC, Transformer, E-House, VFD, Motor, Soft starter, Breaker, Relays, Cables, Lighting, Grounding and Installation) and Control systems (Process instruments, PLC, RIO panels, DCS integration and local operator panels) for global projects. Analyze project specifications, technical requirements, and client needs to develop detailed technical proposals, including design criteria, scope of work, technical solutions, and cost estimates. Coordinate with suppliers, channel partners, distributors, panel shops and subcontractors to obtain quotations and technical information. Prepare and review technical and commercial documents, including datasheets, equipment specifications, and engineering calculations. Evaluate technical feasibility of project requirements, design criteria, specifications and propose solutions in line with product requirements. Perform risk assessments and identify potential technical and commercial risks. Collaborate with electrical control engineers, automation, product line management, global proposal teams, product engineering to ensure proposals align with product applications and industry standards. Interface with clients to gather project information, clarify requirements, cost and time commitments, and address any technical queries. Present proposals and technical solutions to clients in a clear and professional manner. Develop accurate cost estimates for electrical, control, and instrumentation components and systems. Assess costs related to equipment, labor, and materials. Work with product line proposal, strategic procurement and project teams to ensure competitive pricing and profitability. Prepare and maintain proposal documentation, including technical reports, cost breakdowns, and project timelines. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner. Track and report on the progress of proposal activities and provide regular updates to management. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and internal/ external stakeholders to gather necessary information and resources for proposal development. Ensure all proposal activities are in alignment with company policies and procedures. Participate in hand over kick-off meetings with project execution team. May work on research and development proposal templates. Travel to job sites and regional offices as required in support of global proposals. What You Bring Degree in Electrical/ Controls/ Instrumentation Engineering. Relevant experience in the mining industry, more specifically in Milling and Crushing Products. Proven experience in projects involved in global standards and regulations. Excellent time management skills and ability to deliver on time. High degree of integrity, initiative, professionalism, and accountability. Ability to prioritize work, coordinate multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, influence and conflict resolution skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
