Position Purpose: This role serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Microban business unit to ensure that a culture of high performance is cultivated throughout the organization. This leader will function as a trusted and objective advisor, strategically partnering with the business to drive growth, operational excellence, and employee engagement. The Director of HR will lead all aspects of human capital management, ensuring that the organization's talent strategies align with business goals. This includes strategic planning, global talent management, employment law, staffing and retention, succession planning, compensation, performance management, and employee relations. A key responsibility is ensuring compliance with international labor laws and fostering a cohesive culture across geographically dispersed teams. This role is a member of both the Microban senior leadership team and the BBI HR Leadership team, contributing to strategic initiatives while championing cultural and organizational change. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identify and address strategic people issues that drive business growth and collaborate with the leadership team to ensure that HR strategies are aligned with overall business objectives. Mentor and influence senior leaders to develop their teams, providing guidance on how to build high-performing, agile organizations that can scale globally. Drive initiatives that support the cultural and people-related aspects of organizational growth, ensuring alignment with BBI's core values of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide both transformational advice and transactional support on change management initiatives, including organizational redesign and workforce planning. Serve as a key player in business improvement initiatives, ensuring people-related considerations are at the forefront. Ensure compliance with labor laws in multiple regions, balancing global consistency with local adaptation. Foster a unified company culture across North America, Europe, and Asia, while addressing cultural and language diversity. Oversee talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning efforts, ensuring that Microban has the right talent in key leadership and technical roles. Lead the organization's approach to identifying and developing future leaders. Lead the performance management process, ensuring alignment between individual performance goals and broader business objectives. Provide ongoing feedback and foster a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and professional development. Leverage data to provide insights on workforce trends such as turnover, retention, and diversity. Drive HR decisions based on key metrics, ensuring that data-driven strategies improve overall business performance. Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and engagement, fostering a positive work environment where talent can thrive. Drive outside-in benchmarking and networking opportunities to ensure the organization is utilizing the most current and best-in-class business processes and systems for optimizing human capital. Selectively pursue inside-out thought leadership sharing opportunities in the local, regional, and HR communities to ensure Microban is an employer of choice, and our brand is represented well in communities we operate within. Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or advanced HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred. 10 - 15 years of progressively responsible experience as a strategic Human Resources Business Partner in a complex, fast-paced environment. Significant experience in a global HR leadership role within a multinational organization, with demonstrated success in navigating and managing the complexities of cross-cultural teams and international labor laws. Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, challenging the status quo, and influencing decision-making at the highest levels. Experience in organizational design, executive coaching, and developing future leaders is essential. Deep experience in leading significant organizational change, including restructuring, M&A integration, and scaling high-growth teams. A visionary HR strategist with a proven track record of aligning talent strategies with business goals and fostering a culture of high performance and accountability. Familiarity with HR technology and the ability to leverage analytics to guide decision-making and demonstrate the ROI of HR initiatives. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. Exceptional communication skills, with a strong ability to facilitate difficult conversations, build consensus, and navigate conflict with diplomacy.
