MDW is seeking candidates to provide Procurement support to our US Navy client. The analyst must be capable of applying business process knowledge and judgment to support the various commands with the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is partially remote. Note that this position requires candidates be located within reasonable proximity to Crane, Indiana in order to support the NSWC customer with hybrid work schedules, on-site meetings and other in-person requirements. The Procurement Analyst will support tasks such as assisting the government with daily program support and monitoring progress of procurement actions; research and analysis of procurement issues; assisting the government with data collection allowing for implementing regulatory and policy guidance; and interfacing with various organizations/customers. This includes validating procurement forms for asset and OM&S accuracy, validating government funding, screening mandatory sources of supply, and data entry into Navy ERP. The Analyst will use Microsoft (MS) Office applications such as Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint and MS Word as well as report writing software to include Business Intelligence applications. They may also be involved in various administrative tasks. As part of a team, the analyst will have the following responsibilities: Submit and track all MILSTRIP and purchase card requisitions, maintaining a tracking sheet for all transactions. Monitor division mailbox and filter requests Request IT and other determinations in order to move forward with a request Provide quality customer service Correspond and gather procurement requirements from the government Requiring Technical Authority (RTA), Technical POCs, or IT to have all the correct data to procure a request Check all vendor information for accuracy and that the required mandatory sources are being screened when necessary (such as Shop Store, Federal Stock, System, Ability One and/or DLA Print Shop) Ensure PR form is filled out completely and correctly Check all part numbers to ensure there is a UMM/NIIN Maintain needed metrics for purchase card/MILSTRIP requisitions; maintain knowledge on MILSTRIP advice codes Track and report all information until materials have been procured Use ERP to provide all approving information and provide statuses Provide weekly updated tracking information to entire division Develop, track, and provide analysis of procurement data and packages to provide recommendations to improve quality, schedule and efficiencies Maintain meeting minutes Document handling Data entry Other duties as assigned by government leadership Required Experience: Demonstrate experience with preparing, understanding, and presenting data Candidates should have strong computer, finance and analytical skills Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal) Experience using Excel and other MS Office products Ability to work independently Ability to multi-task; effectively manage time, and work under firm and quick turn-around deadlines Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience: Prior related NSWC Crane support experience preferred. BA/BS degree from an accredited institution required. 4+ years' related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
