SummaryThe Blown Film Operator is responsible for providing quality Film to the converting lines thatmeet all customer specifications. The Blown Film Operator is proficient running Riefenhauser 3layer extrusion line and TSM Batch Blenders (or equivalents)Major Responsibilities• Operates multiple 3 layer blown film lines and follows all safety rules• Keeps area swept and clean at all times• Reports any hazards or maintenance issues immediately to Shift Manager• Never leaves extrusion lines unattended• Maintains equipment and makes minor adjustments and repairs• Performs basic troubleshooting• Monitors all equipment alarms. Reports alarms to Shift manager if operator cannotresolve.• Produces quality film to converting lines• Loads all required resins and additives into correct hoppers• Loads recipes with correct % in blenders as required• Maintains the correct size, thickness and color of the film at all times• Rejects any film that does not meet required quality standards• Reports to shift lead if quality is questionable for guidance• Maintains required output rates on all lines• Reports any quality issues• Properly maintains paperwork and data entry• Adjusts machines to obtain maximum outputs• Follows all Standard Operating Procedures• Performs all required QA testing and documents properlyEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• Has worked in a production environment• Has used Riefenhauser, Davis Standard, or applicable extrusion equipment• Has used HID and touchscreen computers to enter production parameters• Has used automated manufacturing equipment• High school diploma preferred
