AutoCAD Drafter & Engineering TechnicianManufacturer is seeking an Architectural Drafter. The successful candidate will be required to prepare drawings on CAD under the supervision of a Director of Engineering and to assist the Production Manager with shop production processes.The candidate will need to be able to turn pencil sketches into CAD Drawings. Experience in steel fabrication details. They will also need to assist with a host of other duties related to estimating project management and fabric production. Candidates must be located within driving distance to Sarasota, Florida for consideration. No relocation allowances or travel expenses to interview will be provided.DutiesThe ideal candidate will have an understanding of Architectural Design processes including:Experience in AutoCAD 2D drafting model & paperspaceExperience in AutoCAD 3D modeling & draftingNote: MUST have both of above requirements ,in order to apply. A skill test will be conducted to evaluate skill level before hiring.Field Measurement, Plan Layout, Building Code requirementsAbility to interpret and reference Building plansAnalyze plans and details for estimating purposesCoordinating & Assembling of engineered submittal packages for distributionPrepare submittals and cut sheets for proposalsCreating parts and components for the CAD LibraryThe ability to produce fabric cut size production drawingsMust be able to read blue printsStrong organization and prioritization skillsHigh proficiency using computerstabletssmartphonesStrong logic and critical thinking skillsAbility to multitask in a fast paced environmentAbility to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the companyExperience in steel fabrication and manufacturing detailsExperience in AutoCAD 2D drafting requiredExperience in AutoCAD 3D drafting requiredStrong communication skills able to communicate well in EnglishAbility to work independently with minimum supervisionMaintains active awareness of the production schedule for responsible task(s).Review of completed tasks at key intervals for accuracycompleteness.Experience & Qualifications Requirements:Degree or Certificate in Design or Drafting.
