Position Overview: We are growing and seeking to add a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our senior leadership team. The Controller will be responsible for leading and overseeing the finance and administrative functions of the company. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual who can manage the financial health of the business and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction related accounting and finance. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the finance and administrative functions of the company Work closely with the company's shareholders and advisory board to accomplish the Company's goals and objectives Work closely with the estimating and project management team to manage the financial performance of plumbing operations, optimizing profitability and resource allocation Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards Assist with cash flow and financial planning Implement and maintain effective internal controls and processes Supervise and mentor finance and administrative staff Manage relationships with banks and ensure compliance with reporting requirements Coordinate with third-party CPA firm and manage the annual financial statement review process Process payroll accurately and timely Ensure the Company's compliance with relevant portions of collective bargaining agreements Manage insurance broker and carrier relationships; ensure proper coverage in accordance with customer requirements Defend and grow margins by monitoring overhead, general expenses and job costing.
