Who We AreDolly is the financial OS for film production. Every movie you see is powered behind the scenes by hundreds of crew, thousands of purchases, and painstaking hours of manual accounting. Currently, sets Frankenstein together dozens of point solutions to run their production's expenses - creating a nightmare at wrap to reconcile.Our first product, Dolly Card, is the corporate card for film production. Our expense management tool provides prepaid cards for pre-production, on-set, and post-production expenses as an alternative to petty cash or the archaic products that have thus far plagued the industry.Our goal is to be the one-stop-shop for the $270B film production industry - allowing filmmakers to focus on filmmaking, not finances.We're growing 50+% MoM, and have dozens of customers including indie darling studios that have premiered at Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, and more. As we scale, we need an engineer who can build high-quality products quickly. You will collaborate with everyone at Dolly, from producers, to cast & crew, to empower the creatives that inspire generations.Dolly is built using Typescript with Node.js on the backend, and React on the frontend. We use PostgreSQL as our database. We will look to your experience to impact our codebase and help our engineering team expand its skillset.What You'll DoBuild high-quality products very fast.Contribute to building new features from scratch as we push forward our technical roadmap.Have empathy for our users and build solutions for them. And you'll be able to do this without any explicit planning or expectations.Push for a high bar for the quality of our codebase and our technical decisions. You'll help in setting the standard for the future as we scale the engineering organization here at Dolly.Scale yourself. Being an early-stage company, you will need to grow in both leadership and execution as the company scales.Help recruit future engineers to expand the team.What You Bring2+ years experience in building software, ideally in startups.Ability to move fast and iterate quickly.A customer-first mindset and an interest in talking with customers to make sure what we're building meets their needs.Experience across the entire stack, from backend to frontend (let us know if you have any preferences!)Experience owning technically challenging projects.Bonus points if you have experience in mentoring engineers and interviewing!CompensationWe're looking for a founding engineer and will be compensating competitively in both cash and equity for exceptional talent!
