Lee & Crowley, LLC is hiring a Tax Manager for the firm's Boston office to start the summer of 2024. We are a boutique full-service assurance, tax, and business advisory firm founded in 2017 and are expanding our team to deal with the rapid growth we have experienced over the past few years. Our daily work is a mix of both accounting related tasks and advisory work to help our clients grow their businesses and make sound decisions based on not just historical data, but also forward-looking insights. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Manage multiple engagements including compliance, consulting, and tax planning services• Develop and provide innovative tax planning strategies for clients and review complex income tax returns.• Serve as a lead in researching federal and state issues and deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with such laws and regulations within a reasonable timeframe• Manage financial performance of engagements including budgets, billings, and collections• Develop and sustain excellent client relationships• Manage, develop, train, mentor and asses senior and staff accountants and their performance• Assist in managing internal tax department• Contribute to marketing and business development activities• Improve processes by developing or implementing best practicesEducationSkillsExperience:• CPA certification required, MST preferred• 3-6+ years of experience in a tax role with a public accounting firm• Proven work experience as a successful Tax Manager• Strong technical tax skills and excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all type of tax returns• Analytical skills and detail orientation with strong research capabilities • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple engagements• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Experience with CCH Axcess, Profx Engagement, and CCH Axcess Document a plus• Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems• Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships• Strong leadership and personnel management skillsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
