Security Consultant

Title: Security ConsultantLocation: Newark CAContract position Overview:Join an innovative team and make a significant impact as a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Consultant. You will work closely with the Vehicle Cybersecurity team, contributing to the brand's content initiatives while focusing on maintaining a secure PKI environment. Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and uphold a robust public key infrastructure.Ensure certificate-based authentication and encryption systems are secure.Manage the lifecycle of digital certificates, including issuance, revocation, and renewal.Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices, specifically NIST guidelines.Collaborate with various product engineering teams to integrate PKI solutions with other systems. Required:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing and implementing public key infrastructures.At least 4 years of experience in administering Hardware Security -depth understanding of SSLTLS protocols and certificate-based authentication.Demonstrated technical skills in network security, including firewall configurations.Proficiency with Unix-based operating systems such as RedHat Linux and Ubuntu.Experience in managing digital certificates throughout their lifecycle.Strong communication skills to engage effectively with clients and internal teams. Preferred:Experience managing EJBCA applications.Experience with Thales HSM management.Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting, as well as MySQL database management.Familiarity with web services protocols including REST API.
