Job DetailsJob LocationAnaheim - ANAHEIM, CAPosition TypeFull TimeEducation Level4 Year DegreeJob ShiftDayJob CategoryCommercial Lines SalesSummaryThe Commercial Lines Producer is responsible for selling new business to ensure continued profitable growth for the agency and duties include, but are not limited to, prospecting for new clients, selling additional coverages to existing clients, and retaining existing accounts to achieve personal production goals.Essential FunctionsContact prospects, schedule appointments, and make sales presentationsDevelop prospecting programs and follow-up for maximum resultsMaintain prospect list of clients for the target businessBalance production to achieve the desired mix of business; promote products of carriers that the firm has identified as importantCoordinate production efforts with marketing and service staffAccurately and thoroughly complete survey and application forms, before marketing or submitting to be marketedConduct periodic meetings with Account Managers to provide updates and ensure policies and procedures are understoodArrange payment terms for all accounts, in accordance with agency credit and collections policiesGather information on renewals; deliver renewals andor binders following agency guidelinesRemain abreast of trends and techniques to maintain a competitive status for the agency within the industryAttend sales seminars, company sales meetings, or educational activities needed to improve sales techniques, stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the marketplace and maintain required licensesReview all agency activities relating to the public, customers, and companies to avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions Additional ResponsibilitiesThis job description is intended to describe the level of work required of the person performing the position. In certain situations, Producers may begin employment on an initial base salary which will later transition to commission compensation. In these situations, the expected base compensation will be $50,000 to $120,000. The base compensation, if applicable, will be determined on a case-by-case basis accounting for the applicant's experience, skills, certifications, education, and location. In addition to the base or commission compensation, this position may be eligible for additional performance-based incentive compensation which can be discussed during the interview process.
