Technical Trainer Automotive TechnicianResponsibilities:Provide live and virtual technical training to dealership technicians in the areas of diagnosis, service, and maintenance of all automotive systems on Client vehiclesDrive new model vehicles for evaluation and product familiarityPrepare for and maintain the highest-level of technical proficiency in all Skill AreasMaintain inventory and functionality of tools, components, vehicles and facilitySupport the Course Development Team ifwhen requiredAssist in the development of training schedulesAssist with individual course registrations and roster processing to ensure optimal course seatfillCoordinate with Business Center Field personnel on training initiatives, as requiredCommunicate with dealership personnel on training requirementsCounsel with Service Managers to help them understand and utilize technical training for the benefit of the dealershipRequirements:Technical knowledge of automotive components and systemAssociate in automotive technology, Bachelors PreferredDemonstrated ability to work skillfully with highly technical diagnostic equipment, including: Scan Tools, Lab Scopes, DVOMs, Air Conditioning Recycling Equipment, Vibration Diagnostic Equipment, etc.Ability to interact effectively with various personality typesStrong communication skills - written and verbalAbility to complete tasks with minimal direction, including self-guided study, to stay current with technologyFamiliarity and ease with office automation programs (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.)Must have excellent time management and organizational skillsExperience with Zoom, Adobe Connect, YouTube or other online content presentation platforms is preferred, but not requiredA degree is preferred but if you've got good experience, we'll take that, tooMinimum of two years' experience as a technicianExperience teaching automotive preferredWillingness to travel, as needed (up to 30%)
