Position Title: Program Coordinator Reports To: Executive Director Position Status: Full time Position (salary range $40,000-$45,000) * * General Purpose The coordinator will provide short term services to qualified clients through International Welcome Center's Day 91 services including direct intake and assessment and make appropriate referrals to internal and/or external services. The coordinator will work closely with volunteers to ensure internal services are properly delivered such as meeting urgent resettlement needs, conversational English and providing drivers training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the hiring, training, support, supervision, and performance evaluation of direct service staff, including community ambassador and volunteer and events coordinator, with potential for additional direct service staff Network and create meaningful partnerships with other service providers in the greater Akron area that will enhance responsiveness to the needs of clients Maintain community resource list for staff, clients and volunteers Conduct home visits and complete risk and needs assessments for resettlement, English proficiency and readiness for driver's training Follow up on client needs as required by program Conduct group trainings and meetings on topics such as cultural competence and English proficiency as needed Make appropriate external referrals that meet client's needs, follow up on the referral to ensure a connection was made and assist with enrollment into various services, as needed Coordinate outside services and make communication with outside providers as appropriate Oversee, coordinate and manage donations that are gathered and delivered to meet the urgent resettlement needs of clients Maintain open, ongoing communication with staff, volunteers, and community partners on behalf of clients in accordance with individual self-sufficiency plans, while honoring confidentiality Coordinate volunteers to assist clients in reaching their goals in obtaining appropriate household items, English classes or driving training Other duties as assigned Administrative Functions Maintain accurate client data into required databases (e.g. Dynamics) Maintain complete and accurate record of contact (Case Notes) Communicate directly with client for next steps Attend training as required by program director Attend training as required by World Relief home office Attend meetings hosted by local providers, as requested by executive director Assist in program reporting as required by the Executive Director and World Relief Participate in cross program meetings Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in human/social services and/or 2-3 years' experience in social service case management or program management Cross-cultural experience strongly preferred Experience working with and organizing volunteers Strong written and oral communication is required Ability to organize, efficiently document, and routinely update information in various databases Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage multiple demands and deadlines with flexibility Experience with record maintenance and reporting Detail-oriented and organized Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and responsibility Effective management of stressf
