Looking to join a winning team and grow in your career? Heartland Women's Healthcare of Advantia is seeking talented Sonographers to join our Mount Vernon and Centralia, IL offices. We are seeking individuals that are open to expand on and cultivate a great team environment within our sonography team! We are seeking PRN Sonographers that specialize in Women's Health. Job Responsibilities: Perform procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician or their designated healthcare provider. Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed. Review the patient's medical chart prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the images and videos required. Promptly communicate any abnormalities or concerns with the care team. Provide information to the patient about the purpose of the ultrasound procedure and respond to the patient's questions and concerns. Review images before sending them to the physician to ensure a clear image of the area requested. Soothe and reassure nervous or anxious patients. Job Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography from CAAHEP accredited school. Current ARDMS certification with OB/GYN specialty required. Previous OB/GYN ultrasound experience strongly preferred. 1+ years of experience as a sonographer preferred. Basic understanding of human anatomy and functions. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients and care team. Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical information. A friendly and professional demeanor is required when explaining procedures and processes to patients.
