In the era of highly automated driving, we can draw on our extensive experience in testing and benchmarking of advanced driver assistance systems. This position will expand our automotive business in the USA by operational execution of highly automated driving projects (technical advicetraining, technical support, approvalassessments). Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Act as a Functional Safety Engineer in the field of connected and automated vehicles by:Reviewing, analyzing, and discussing functional safety and technical safety concepts and requirements according to relevant standards during essential project phases of the customers (concept, product development, verification & validation)Perform Confirmation and verification reviews independently based on ISO 26262 standards.Perform auditsassessments of safety processes and related safety management processes for clients seeking compliance with standards in functional safety and related fields, including ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, and other similar standards relevant to systems and safety engineering.Collaborate with engineers, project managers, global teams, and customers on Functional Safety and relevant other safety standardsManage external partners to ensure compliance across all parts of the vehicle system.Advise clients regarding the system specification and development while following applicable technical standards as well as standards on quality, safety, etc. This includes technical advice in developing safety cases, creating safety management plans and workflows, and guiding processes and technical designs for our customers.Focuses on customer satisfaction, account growth and expansion of services provided, and sustaining customer loyalty for a group of key customers.Acts as a project manager if required and responds effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues.Support technical sales activities in the field of Functional Safety, Safety of The Intended Functionality (SOTIF), and holistic safety aspects of autonomous driving products.QualificationBachelor's degree in applied physics, Informatics, or Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering; focusing on automotive application is a plus.Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience with ISO 26262, and preferably experience in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) andor Autonomous Driving (AD).Experience with further safety standards relating to automotive and other industries is a plus (e.g., ISO 21448, UL 4600, IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 9001, etc.).Experienceknowledge in the field of Automotive Cybersecurity (ISOSAE 21434) is a plus.Practical project management and work experience in the automotive sectorConfident dealing with external and internal contact personsGood comprehension, critical and analytical thinkingIndependent, structured, and result-oriented way of workingTeam player with good communication skillsWillingness to travelAdditional informationEqual Opportunity Employer - Disability and VeteranTíœV SíœD America, Inc. is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, marital status, genetics, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, physical or mental disability, veteran status and those laws, directives, and regulations of Federal, State, and Local governing bodies or agencies.
