Electrical Field EngineerWilloughby, OH75-95KThe Electrical Field Service Technician will travel (up to 30%) to customer sites to install, commission, and train on electrical control systems and supervisory software. While not travelling, if local, work duties will include configuration and bench testing of equipment, supporting customers with troubleshooting calls, and supporting production efforts with panel layouts and wiring.Electrical Field Engineer ResponsibilitiesTroubleshooting (remote and onsite) to resolve operationaltechnical issues with microprocess based industrial control systemsSuperviseoversee control installations; either customer employees or contract labor.Start up and commissioning of control systems in the fieldFacilitate operational and maintenance training at customer sites and at our officeInstall, commission, and troubleshoot Windows based SCADAInitialize and troubleshoot PC networksRead and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.Document the issues with troubleshooting and installations, and remedies which will be helpful in futureShare issues found in the field with the technical teamEnsure in providing a safe work environmentReport writing and documentation post field workCommunicate efficiently and effectively with all parties involvedWilling to learn the industry and help us maintain and grow our marketplace positionAttend business meetings and trainings as requiredFollow and adhere to Company policies, procedures, and guidelinesPerform other administrative duties, tasks and special projects as assignedElectrical Field Engineer RequirementsTwo years or more of higher education preferred30% travel availability for USCanada travel with occasional drug testing required2+ years of related experience requiredExperience with high-voltage equipment and safety standards requiredAbility to read electrical drawings requiredComfortable with multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc. requiredEffectively work and communicate on multiple projects independently and with others in all technical aspects including coworkers, customers, and suppliers requiredAutoCAD drawing creation experience preferredExperience at industrial facilities (power plants, paper mills, etc.) preferredStrong working knowledge of Google DocsSuite and MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
