The first Radisson Blu in the United States is within walking distance from Millennium Park, the Magnificent Mile, and Navy Pier.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Choice Hotels overall mission, vision values and strategiesDevelops and implements strategies for hotel operations that support achievement of the hotel's goalsMonitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriateDevelops the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive CommitteeContinually improve hotel operations and adheres to Radisson Blu brand standardsManages the operation of the Rooms Division areaOversees the operations of Housekeeping and Guest Services, ensuring implementation of standards and procedures and that work schedules are adequate for operational needsResponsible for maintaining clear communication between all departments to ensure consistent serviceFacilitates the coordination of marketing initiatives, sales site visits and special housekeeping requests, reservations, etc., to ensure understanding by hotel operations of procedures that may impact potential guestsDevelops and implements processes and procedures for assigned departments which support achievement of service and financial goalsEnsure rooms department controls costs by adhering to standards of operations for forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, payroll control and other expense management systemsMonitors all rooms related systems that directly impact the guest, to ensure proper procedures are in place and followed which allow for an outstanding guest experiencePrepares and analyzes reports in order to develop an informative database for decision making and to communicate upcoming business throughout the hotelAnalyzes business forecasts and maximizes productivity by adjusting schedules accordinglyMaximize profitability and revenue by directing rooms (including front office and housekeeping operations)Analyzes business results on a regular basis and takes action to improve results as appropriateImplements the approved budget; monitors revenues and costs on a daily basis and takes corrective actionControls cost by adhering to standards of operations for forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, payroll control and other expense management systemsDevelops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagementDevelops and recruits the human resources necessary to achieve hotel and Management Services' goalsOversees all facets of human resources management including the recruitment and selection, training & development, compensation, recognition and performance management of the work forceCreates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork.RequirementsSkillsMinimum of five years work experience in hotel managementBachelor's degree preferredExperience managing to brand standardsAbility to resolve conflicts with guests, supervisors and employeesExcellent communication skills, ability to influence situationsAble to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamworkKnowledge of hotel operations including: preparation of business plans, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law and long range planningStrong Microsoft Office suite and reporting system skillsAble to create a diverse and supportive work environmentWilling to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidaysAdheres to the policies and procedures of the hotel
