(acquired by Gilead in 2020 for $4.9B), Inograft aims to develop life-changing therapies by applying proven stem cell therapies to areas of significant unmet medical need, including genetic disorders, autoimmune diseases, aging, and organ transplant.JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a highly motivated and enthusaiastic Senior Scientist dedicated to advancing innovative therapeutic platforms. The ideal candidate will integrate extensive experience into our dynamic team environment. They will play a crucial role in supporting and developing various flow cytometry and sorting platforms, encompassing technical operations of machinery, assay development and data analysis. A robust background in immunology, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry and statistics is desired. This position involves collaborative efforts across multiple scientific teams, leading and training individuals, and proactive contributions to foster a cohesive sceintific community. Initial job responsibilities will include both scientific and operational activites that will evolve as the organization and the role continues to grow.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary scientists and team members representing multiple functional areas as well as with external collaborators to plan, execute, troubleshoot and support assays in our drug development terface with external collaborators and CROs to coordinate project proposals, plans, and study execution. These activities can include managing data and sample acquisition, sourcing of reagents, transfer of assays, and similarly related operational activities.Develop and author SOPs, develop internal study report templates, author, edit, review scientific reports. Ensure protocols and reports comply with regulatory requirements in preparation for prospective regulatory filings.Design, develop, and transfer assays for use with internal assets to be used in the nonhuman primate model and clinically. This will include significant expertise in flow cytometry.Facilitate internal operational activities including shipping and receiving, sample and reagent management and inventory, study planning, forecasting, scheduling and coordination, etc.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSPhD OR PharmD OR MD and relevant post-doc experience where applicable is required.Expertise in multiparametric flow cytometry assays including multicolor phenotyping of immune cells, receptor occupancy and immune based functional assays is required for this position.Experience implementing flow cytometry techniques to generate orthogonal data and controls for new areas of interrogation.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of motivation, creativity and collaborative qualities.Previous experience working in a matrixed environment to implement biomarker assay development.Project management skills to meet critical timelines associated with various activities necessary to support biomarker assessment of preclinical samples.Demonstrated track record of critical independent thinking, troubleshooting ability, and innovative approaches to solve complex questions through high impact petency with flow cytometry analysis software such as FACSDiva, FlowJo, FCS petency with data analysis software such as Graphpad Prism.Experience with electronic lab notebook (ELN) platforms such as Benchling or Dotmatics.Experience in cell culture and cell isolation techniques.Experience with lab operational activities.The anticipated salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000. The actual salary may vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, relevant skills and qualifications.
