Position Details Position Information Position Type Professional Staff Faculty Track Position Title Project Coordinator - Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program Employment Status Full Time Months 12 Campus Biddeford, ME Description The Project Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of a new federally funded Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Project (GWEP) known as AgingME. The PC will help coordinate activities of the Executive Committee, among multiple project partners, other key staff, the Partners Council and Advisory Groups and workgroups as they develop. The PC will also work with the lead evaluator and other key staff to assure that data and other information has been collected for timely completion and submission of all required award-related reports. The PC will work closely with the Senior Program Manager (SPM). The Project Coordinator may be responsible for performing administrative functions for the Project including tracking expenses, developing and overseeing grant Partner contracts, organizing and scheduling events and implementing communication strategies. The Project Coordinator participates in key program and operations planning, including reporting and evaluation, with the PD and SPM. The position requires working independently and monitoring the progress of multiple work projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Oversees and carries out various day-to-day administrative functions for the program. Coordinates programmatic evaluation and reporting activities and ensures all reports are submitted in a timely fashion. With the SPM, develops and oversees partner contracts, including creation of scope of work, budget and workplan monitoring. Manages budget expenses related to AgingME programs including monitoring of all expenditures for each funding stream and reconciling expenditures for the programs. Serves as the informational point of contact for AgingME and specific program activities. Works with SPM and PD to strengthen AgingME reciprocal partnerships Supports the development and achievement of program goals. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline and 3 - 5 years relevant administrative experience in office practices, budget/accounting and customer service or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Excellent administrative and customer service skills. Ability to work as a productive and collaborative team member. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals both inside and outside the University. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Excellent written and oral communication skills.
