Position Overview:Fortress Power, a leading residential and C&I battery energy storage integrator with 35,000+ systems deployed, is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate to assist on critical strategic, commercial, and financial projects. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role in a well-known, growing, PE-backed industry leader. The role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.As a Corporate Finance Associate, you will be involved in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), fundraising, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and other strategic initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of investment banking experience and a passion for the renewable energy industry to transition into a fast-paced business where you will gain hands-on experience with numerous pathways for career advancement.Location: At HQ in Langhorne, PA preferred; open to Boston, MA for the right candidate. Travel up to 30% of the time.Key Responsibilities:Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build, maintain, and improve complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, business planning, and forecasting.Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining business plans.Capital Markets & Fundraising: Prepare investor presentations, manage due diligence processes, and work closely with external stakeholders such as investors, banks, and legal advisors to assist in capital raising efforts, including debt and equity financing.Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, and analyze competitor performance to inform corporate strategy and investment decisions.Operational Finance Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, engineering, marketing) to evaluate and optimize financial performance, resource allocation, and product strategy.Executive Communication: Prepare high-quality presentations and reports for the executive team, board of directors, and investors.Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in various high-priority ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as the C-suite directs.Qualifications:Experience: 2-3 years of investment banking (M&A, corporate finance, or related areas). Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or climate-tech is a strong plus.Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field. An MBA or CFA is a plus.Financial Skills: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically about the company's financial position, growth opportunities, and industry munication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with executives, investors, and cross-functional teams.Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Passion for Climate-Tech: A genuine interest in the renewable energy and climate-tech sectors, with a desire to contribute to a mission-driven company.
