Job Description - ParalegalJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Paralegal with 3-5 years of professional experience and a Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies. The successful candidate will support attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment, providing essential case management, legal research, and document drafting. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to handle complex projects independently, and a deep understanding of legal procedures and processes. Pearl Pools Plastering is a construction company specializing in new pool builds and remodels.Key Responsibilities:Case Management: Assist in managing case files from initiation to resolution, including organizing and maintaining documents in both physical and electronic formats.Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research using various resources such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and court databases to support attorneys in case preparation.Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, contracts, and discovery requests. Assist in the preparation of trial and hearing materials.Court Filings: File legal documents with courts and governmental agencies, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines.Client Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients to provide case updates and gather necessary information, ensuring professional and timely communication.Discovery Management: Manage discovery processes, including reviewing, organizing, and producing documents in response to discovery requests.Administrative Support: Provide support with calendaring court dates, depositions, hearings, and meetings. Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with legal requirements.Litigation Support: Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, depositions, and hearings by organizing exhibits, preparing witness files, and creating trial pliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of legal records and case files, following internal protocols and legal guidelines.Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, junior paralegals, and other staff to coordinate projects and share case information.Contract Review: Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts for clients, ensuring all terms are aligned with company policies and legal standards specific to the pool construction industry.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies (required).Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a paralegal role.Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis), Google Office Suite, and case management software.Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal terminology, court filing procedures, and litigation munication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, court staff, and colleagues.Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in handling legal documents and information.Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate the needs of attorneys and provide proactive solutions to complex legal issues.Preferred Qualifications:Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program.Experience in (What type of law experience)Familiarity with e-discovery tools and pensation & Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off (PTO) and holidays401(k) plan with company match
