Under general supervision, The HVAC Emergency Power Systems Supervisor maintains gas & diesel power generating plants and related electrical equipment throughout Nova Southeastern University and performs HVAC repairs and maintenance duties. The position serves as the first-line supervisor for HVAC technicians.Key Responsibilities:Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on emergency generators and fuel systems across NSU buildings.Supervise HVAC Technicians to ensure timely customer service.Maintain and repair HVAC systems, boilers, air compressors, and vacuum systems.Review and document work orders, bids, and material lists for efficiency.Keep records of maintenance, costs, and inspections for power and HVAC systems.Provide technical guidance to facilities staff and contractors.Oversee contractors to ensure quality, safety, and timely project completion.Prepare reports on inspections, labor, and material estimates for management.Notify University personnel of building conditions and repair schedules.Respond to 24-hour building and equipment repair emergencies.Required Certification and Licenses: Have and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license with no more than 3 points.Journeyman card (in a related HVAC field).EPA certified.High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred Experience:1. Five (5) or more years experience in repairing & maintenance of standby generators or HVAC equipment and repair. 2.
