We are hiring for a permanent position with a leading power and electronic systems leader in Katy, TX. This direct hire role offers a highly competitive salary and a total benefits package. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with experience in medium and high voltage electrical testing and who will proactively improve the company's quality systems through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the quality control and testing function to ensure the quality and production goals for the product lines are metDefine, develop, and implement quality control and testing standards, metrics, policies, and procedures to meet product requirements and specifications, comply with industry standards and regulations, and align with business goalsBuild and lead a team of committed and capable employees to ensure product qualityDesign and develop test procedures, test reports, and test standards based on product requirements and specificationsEnsure the schedule and execution of tests, including, but not limited to, validation, functional, performance, and factory acceptance, are in compliance with all requirements and meet product delivery deadlinesIdentify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance product quality and testing efficiencyMonitor and analyze quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiativesMonitor industry best practices and emerging technologies to innovate quality control and testing processesMonitor the identification, documentation, and tracking of defects and other issues from receipt to shipment, ensuring all are addressed before shippingFacilitate root cause analysis and work with relevant teams to resolve quality issuesMaintain detailed documentation of quality control processes and test reportsPrepare and present quality control and testing reports, status updates, and issues to production management and supervisorsGather and analyze client feedback related to product quality, integrating feedback into the quality control processesDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on product delivery and client satisfactionCommunicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding quality control and testing issuesPrepare for and participate in internal and external audits or inspections related to quality controlQualificationsBachelor of Science in electrical, electronic, mechanical engineering or related field or equivalent via education andor work experience2 years' technical management experience in the power electronics industry5 years' experience in medium and high voltage electrical testing in a manufacturing environment2 years' experience in quality control inspection in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical drawingsProficiency with digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, high voltage isolators, current clamps, and hand toolsDemonstrated success in leading teams to accomplish business goalsDemonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contactsDemonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skillsDemonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibilityAdvanced knowledge of quality control methodologies, software, and testing toolsProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an ERP business systemAvailability to travel, domestically and internationally (approx. 10%, sometimes with limited notice)Preferred QualificationsManagement experience in an ISO 9001 environmentDemonstrated success developing and managing supervisorsProficiency with Oracle
