The primary function of the Maintenance Technician is to to the repair of CNC production machinery as well as physical facilities upkeep. The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Duties, Responsibilities and Functions: Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes ranging in size from 5 to 100 tons, manufacturing equipment and facilities Remove, rebuild and reinstall hydraulic pumps and cylinders Navigate CNC controls from FANUC, Heidenhain and Siemens to aid in repair Remove and reinstall CNC spindles of various sizes and designs Efficiently diagnose electrical failures in CNC type equipment Move, level and anchor large CNC equipment per manufacturer's recommendations Remove, repair and reinstall varying types of CNC machine way covers Perform a variety of electrical and mechanical trade functions to include installation, maintenance, upgrade and repair of equipment Wire power and controls for machines. Repair and upgrade as specified. Reassemble and test equipment performance as needed Respond to verbal or written instructions for safety concerns and issues Perform other related duties as needed Quailifications / Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent 5+ years previous experience of being a well-rounded maintenance mechanic Advanced certifications in welding, electricity or other related disciplines are desired Strong understanding of contractors, thermal overloads and their roles in CNC equipment Thorough knowledge of gears, bearings and bushing installation and removal Basic understanding of refrigeration relating to CNC machine chillers Strong ability to navigate electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics Ability to bend and install electrical conduit Ability to solder copper piping ranging from 1/4" to 2" Knowledge and ability to complete an array of building and grounds type maintenance Ability to service rotary screw type air compressors, such as oil and filter changes Understanding of plastic injection molding equipment and related process Understanding of PM programs and its related tasks Physical Requirements: Ability to climb, crawl and maneuver in cramped areas Extensive walking is required Ability to comfortably work from heights on ladders and aerial boom lifts Ability to push/pull/lift 50+ pounds
